Celebrate Family Weekend with one of the University of Virginia's most beloved musical traditions as the University Singers, UVA Chamber Singers, Virginia Glee Club, and Virginia Women's Chorus come together for the annual Family Weekend Choral Showcase. The concert showcases the extraordinary talent and musical diversity of UVA's premier choral ensembles. The University Singers and UVA Chamber Singers are directed by UVA faculty member Michael Slon, while the Virginia Women's Chorus is led by Addie Walton and the Virginia Glee Club by Frank Albinder.
Old Cabell Hall
The University of Virginia Department of Music presents the University Singers in concert on Friday, November 13, at 8:00 p.m. in Old Cabell Hall. Directed by UVA faculty conductor Michael Slon, the University Singers is the University of Virginia's flagship choral ensemble. Recognized for its artistry, versatility, and expressive performances, the ensemble performs a wide-ranging repertoire spanning Renaissance masterworks, contemporary compositions, and major choral-orchestral works. This concert continues the ensemble's long tradition of presenting outstanding performances that showcase the musical excellence of UVA's student singers.
